Pat Hogan for Syracuse Mayor
In fall of 2024, I joined Pat Hogan's campaign for Syracuse mayor as a Public Relations Intern. Working primarily with Pat and his campaign team, I utilize various skills such as strategy development, website development, fundraising and social media management. Not only is this an opportunity to expand my public relations knowledge into the realm of local government, but it is an invaluable way to get out into the Syracuse community and learn how to better serve my city.
Strategy development
Pat has worked for the city of Syracuse for over 50 years, a decade serving as a common councilor. Just as he knows the city, the city knows him. That being said, his team and I heavily developed our PR strategy on his experience and expertise, however, we knew we could not remain stuck in the past. Therefore we created his slogan "A new path forward" to communicate the possibility of growth of the city and its future. We prioritized his stances, target audiences and growth opportunities to shape his campaign strategy.
